6/21/2023 0 Comments Kh 358 2 days![]() Your reward? Another cutscene, this time introducing member #14. To get the game started, speak with Axel and head over to the big meeting. If you haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game before, take a look at the Back Story section. You can see the list:Īfter two cutscenes briefly introduce Organization XIII and the very important friendship between Roxas and Axel, the game starts with you in The Grey Area in The Castle That Never Was. I would just watch the cutscene in 2.5.There are many Missions in this game. ![]() Plus, they added two new cutscenes in 2.5 that's connected to both Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts 3. ![]() In my opinion, Re:Coded as a cinematic cutscene in 2.5 is all the new players need to understand. Union x is so damn repetitive and the main story takes way too long to get update. Re:Coded may not have an engaging story but between Re:Coded and Union I say Re:Coded is a little more interesting than Union x. So if new players wanted to fully know about Roxas I say tried 358/2 Days on the DS or 3DS.Īs for Re:Coded I will say that Re:Coded's gameplay was very fun but the story is second weakest in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, after Kingdom Hearts Union x. Plus, judging the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers it would seem that Roxas is going to play pivotal role in Kingdom Hearts 3. Honestly, I say tried and play 358/2 Days before Kingdom Hearts 3. I remember Nomura said that 358/2 Days cinematic cutscenes in 1.5 were only 70% of the game's story. ![]() Plus, 358/2 Days cinematic scenes in 1.5 did skipped some scenes of Roxas character development. I actually like the gameplay in 358/2 Days, it was different but at least it wasn't bad or annoying like Chain of Memories gameplay. Roxas time with the organization, his friendship with Xion and Axel, the bond and strained relationship between Axel, Roxas, and Xion, more depth to the other Organization members, and Roxas character development as the story progresses. In my opinion, 358/2 Days is one of the better side-stories in the Kingdom Hearts series. In my opinion, 358/2 Days may have repetitive missions but the story is pretty damn good. But are 358 & re:Coded worth playing? I wanna know. There's something of a curse with the handheld games, which I've made a thread on before, where they're hit or miss, with Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, & re:coded being misses for one reason or another, Birth By Sleep is a hit, & Dream Drop Distance varies depending on the person, though those 2 actually add stuff to the universe outside of backstory or stuff that's set up for the next game. It doesn't even get that interesting until the last 1/3 of the story, where it sets up Birth By Sleep. ![]() It was also thought up when Nomura was drunk one night. Watching its cinematics, the game is basically like Chain of Memories, which rehashes basically everything from the first game with a framing device to explain it. Re:Coded, from what I can also tell, is just not that good. I mean, I've heard defenses of it, but the fact that it's 30 hours long, yet most of that time is spent just with RNG missions that aren't any different than the levels they're rehashing. Should people play the full games rather than just watching the cinematics from thee 1.5+2.5 HD collection?įrom what I know, 358/2 Days, while it has a good story, the game is VERY repetitive & isn't really worth playing as a game. So, this question has been rattling around my brain for a while. ![]()
